Dean Tsiolkas - Senior Pastor

I have been in full-time ministry since 2000. I was the Singles and Young Adult Minister at First Christian Church in Kernersville from 2000 until 2006, and was the Pastoral Care Minister from 2006 until 2009. I felt the Lord's calling to take the position as Senior Minister here at First Christian Church in High Point in August of 2009. I grew up in the Greek Orthodox Church. Both of my parents were born in Greece, which means I can speak Greek fluently (with an occasional added English word to help finish some sentences). I have been married to my beautiful wife Tracy for 20 years (I adore and love her and yes we had a big fat Greek wedding). We have 3 awesome children: Helena, Haley, and Dimitrios (I treasure and love them). I love sports, reading, having solitude time with God, and reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. One of my favorite Bible verses is Zephaniah 3:17.
Jim Shields - Family Minister

I never quite understood what it meant to be called into the Ministry, but at the age of 41, the Lord laid on my heart that I was to sell my business and go full-time in the Ministry. You can imagine how I felt, because that would mean leaving a financially secure career and starting over. Well, it did not take long for me to realize that I was to make this move and God was not taking “no” for an answer. I went back to school and in 2 ½ years graduated Suma cum laude with a Bachelor in Ministry.   I joined the staff here at First Christian Church in High Point in June of 2006, and have never looked back. I am currently the Family Minister, and am responsible for ministering to the entire family from birth on up.

I am married to my best friend and loving wife Elizabeth, and we have three daughters – Heather, Megan, and Laura. We are so blessed because all three of our girls have dedicated their lives to some aspect of Ministry, and all three have married men that love the Lord first; two of which are Ministers. I enjoy snow skiing, cooking, and hanging-out with family. My passion is reaching out to disadvantaged and troubled teens, as well as helping people find their way into a loving relationship with Christ.  Isaiah 40:31 is one of my favorite verses.
Danny Sink - KidZone After School Academy Director & Children's Pastor

I was born and raised in the small town of Midway in neighboring Davidson County, North Carolina.   After graduating from Appalachian State University in 2000, I returned to the elementary school I attended as a child to begin my teaching career.   In 2012 my family moved to High Point and began looking for a new church home.   We first visited FCCHP in February of 2013 and have been attending ever since.  I am married to the love of my life, Ameriah, and we have three wonderful children.   After much discussion and prayer I was led to leave the teaching profession and come on board with FCCHP to help start a Christ-centered After School Program and take on the role of Children's Minister.  I feel truly blessed to call FCCHP my home and this congregation my family.  Over and over in my life God has proven faithful and loving.  When tough times have come, as they always will, I've been able to look back on God's work in my life and his promises to carry me through.  Many timies that reminder has come in the calming words of Jeremiah 29:11-13

Beth Lilley - Administrative Assistant

I am the Administrative Assistant here at First Christian Church in High Point. I absolutely love my job and love interacting with the many volunteers on a weekly basis. My position here requires that I juggle many duties. Prior to being on staff here, I worked in a few different capacities at First Christian Church Ministries in Kernersville, NC.  I have been a part of the team here in High Point since 2009. I am married to my wonderful husband Bill, and we have three children Mary, Rebecca, and David. We also have four grandchildren. I enjoy tennis, chocolate, and teaching children. Proverbs 16:3 is one of my favorite verses.

Melissa Huggins - Worship Leader

Growing up as an only child I struggled with being lonely, and did not consider myself as anything special.  I have always been short and small in stature, and would have probably used those same words to describe how insignificant I felt.  It wasn’t until later that I realized God had been pursuing me all along.  I then became more open to God and began to understand more about who He truly is.  I'm grateful that I came to know such a personal God who loves me and who gives me purpose daily. During God’s pursuit of me, I married my friend Chris, and we were baptized together a couple of months later.  As God’s love changed us, we desired to have children, in which God also blessed us with: Cole and Leah.

My degree is not in music; it is a calling and desire to fulfill the purpose that God created me for.  God led me to
the Worship ministry in 1999. I'm only a small part of a great Worship Team of many gifted with talent, and with a heart to serve and honor our God. I am a graduate from GTCC with an Associate in Arts, and also graduated from High Point University with my Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. I tell you these things in hopes that you would read this small portion of my story with Christ and then consider yours…“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9

Carolyn Robinson - Facilities

I help to oversee the condition of the building and facilities. I have been a member of FCC since 2005. I am a retired and divorced mother of three daughters and two sons. I was born and raised in Bethania NC (NHL), and attended Bethania A.M.E. Zion Church (NHL) most of my life. I graduated from Carver High School, Class of 1958 (WS, NC). Being surrounded and influenced by a large family of Christians all my life, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  To name a few affiliations, I enjoy mingling and associating with the seniors of the church, Single Sisters & Friends, Women's Ministry, and Carver Alumni Of Winston Salem.  I am outgoing, and open-minded to new ideas. I enjoy shopping, traveling (mountains, historical sites), and exploring new places and things. Over the years, I've taken pleasure in serving the ministry as a volunteer (Open Door Ministry, Blessings Express, Kitchen, and Nursery).
